(image) Bhubaneswar: Over 4, 85,586 students from various schools in the state will appear the High School Certificate examinations (HSC), which began from Wednesday.

The exam conducted by the Orissa Board of Secondary Education (BSE), will be held simultaneously at 2,261 centres across the state. Elaborate measures have been taken by Orissa Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams. In fact, students would be getting their question papers 10 minutes before the exam begins.

Besides, some observers have been appointed to ensure smooth conduct of the exams in each education circle. And a total of 120 squads have been assigned to put a check on malpractices during the examinations.
