Bhubaneswar: The impact of OTV’s Save Elephant Campaign was evident in the Assembly during Zero hour on Friday as members applauded the efforts taken by the channel towards this cause.

NCP member Amar Prasad Satapathy had raised concern over the deaths of elephants in the State due to electrocution and hunting.  He alleged the State government and the Forest department is not taking necessary steps to stop it.

Satapathy not only praised OTV for its efforts but also requested the Speaker for a ruling on protection of elephants.

Earlier, two elephants were killed in Athgarh and Narasinghpur.
