WB team reviews coastal projects in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The World Bank Coastal Mission Team on Friday reviewed the World Bank-funded projects, being executed in coastal districts of the State.
The team comprising 18 members made a field visit of three projects- National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP), Additional NCRMP and Odisha Disaster Recovery Project (ODRP).
“They expressed satisfaction over the pace the work. We are delighted that the WB is willing to extend further support to these ongoing projects,” Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) PK Mohapatra said.
The official informed that total cost of the projects is Rs 1100 crore.
NCRMP covers construction of multi-purpose cyclone shelters, saline embankment and all weather approach roads to cyclone centres.
Mohapatra said the first phase of NCRMP projects will be completed by March 2016.
