UIDAI Aadhaar training programme on Feb 3

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Office of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Hyderabad, will organise a three-day Master Trainer’s Training Programme (Training of Trainers) on Aadhaar seeding, authentication and Aadhaar updation, in association with the state Electronics & IT department, at the office of the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) here from February 1.

The training program will be inaugurated by R Balakrishnan, Development Commissioner-cum-additional chief secretary in the presence of Pradeep Kumar Jena, principal secretary, Electronics & IT and other senior officials.

It will be presided over by MVS. Rami Reddy, Deputy Director General, UIDAI, Hyderabad.

The training program will be conducted each day catering to about 80 participants from 10 districts to create a pool of trainers in various line departments (PDS, MGNREGA, Social Welfare, ICDS, Pension, Education, District Information cell etc.) at the district level.

These trainers are expected to impart training to various field functionaries involved in seeding, authentication, in the respective districts.

The training is significant as the next logical step after Aadhaar enrolments is to utilize Aadhar in service delivery which involves seeding and authentication.

As of now, about 3.25 crore people in Odisha have been provided with Aadhaar numbers while more than 96 crore people in the country have Aadhaar.

Utilization of Aadhaar in service delivery will enable the governments to deliver services with increased efficiency, transparency and effectiveness of the reach of the welfare measures.

It will also help reduce leakages in the system.
