Top Naxal leader Siva Reddy nabbed by AP police
Malkangiri: Top Maoist leader Siva Reddy was arrested by Andhra Pradesh police from Ettapakur in Andhra Pradesh bordering Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Tuesday. Police arrested him while he was undergoing treatment after being injured, sources said.
A wanted rebel, Siva was involved in 70 serious cases which are pending in different police stations.
He was actively involved in 2001 Motu police station attack case. Though he worked as the secretary of Khamam division of CPI (Maoist) in Andhra Pradesh, he used to create violence in Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Telengana, sources added.
He was carrying a cash award of Rs 20 lakh on his head. Interrogation of the arrested Maoist is on.
