Security tightened in view of Maoist Martyrs’ Week
Malkangiri: With Martyrs’ Week observation by the Maoists beginning today, the State government has sounded high alert in the Maoist prone districts.
According to sources, security arrangements have been beefed up and adequate police forces have been deployed at bordering areas of Chhattisgarh Bargarh, Kalahandiand Bolangir connecting Nuapada districts.
At same time joint combing operations by district police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been intensified to tackle the violent activities during the Martyrs’ Week, the sources added.
As per reports, several Maoist posters and banners have been displayed at Bhulia Sikuan village under Khadiala police limits in Nuapada district and at Parapali panchayat in Niyamgiri area of Rayagada district.
