Raja death: Jessy undergoes marathon polygraph test

Balasore: Actress Pralipta PriyadarshiniNayak aka Jessy, who was arrested in connection with death of TV actor Raja, on Wednesday underwent a marathon polygraph test lasting six and half hours at the State Forensic Lab in Bhubaneswar here today.

Sources said more than 50 questions were asked to Jessy during the polygraph test. Queries like whether she provoked Raja to commit suicide, if she commented on the TV actor while he was going out of the vehicle, whether she had any altercation with Raja on financial matters were asked to Jessy during the test, the sources added.

Police subjected the actress to the polygraph test as the statements of two other person – programme coordinator Pralay Jena and driver Dhaneswar Behera – did not match with that of Jessy, the sources added.

Balasore SP Neeti Sekhar said, “We do not have any plans to conduct polygraph test of the two other co-passengers of Raja. However, things will be done as per legal requirements.”

Meanwhile, Jessy, who was sent to 15-day judicial custody following rejection of her bail plea after her arrest on Tuesday under Sec 306 of IPC, refused to stay at the cell of the Soro Sub jail which was allotted to her. She stayed at cell no-9 after the intervention of the sub jail authorities.

Prasanna Kumar Sahu, Superintendent In-charge of Soro Subjail said, “Though Jessy also refused to have jail food initially, she took it later.”
