Odisha to fund major schemes de-linked from Central support
Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has decided to allot budget from its exchequer towards ongoing major schemes in the State following the Centre’s decision to pull out funds, Development Commissioner UN Behera said on Saturday.
After a meeting here, Behera told mediapersons that eight major schemes including IRLTLP in KBK areas, IAP and BRGF will be run with the State’s funds.
The Centre has modified its fund allocation to 33 schemes in the State whereas eight Central schemes, which were going on, have been stopped, Behera added.
Today’s meeting was chaired by the Development Commissioner and attended Niti Aayog members and secretaries from different departments.
