Odisha govt hikes DA by 6 %
Bhubaneswar: In a gift to the employees ahead of the festival season, the State government today decided to hike the dearness allowance by 6 %.
With this increase the DA is now 119 per cent as compared to 113 per cent earlier.
According to sources, this move will benefit over 4 salaried and pensioners will be benefited.
The increased hike will be passed on to the employees in their October salaries.
It will be applicable to all state government employees, including the work charged and job contract employees, besides the pension holders, the government said in a statement.
Notably, the State government will bear an additional burden of Rs 305 crore after this step.
