Odisha beefs up security ahead of winter session of Assembly

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has put up a strict three-layer security system in Odisha capital ahead of the State winter Session of the State Assembly beginning on Tuesday.

Around 30 platoons of police force have been set out around the premises of the State Assembly as well as across the city besides putting up CCTV cameras to avoid any untoward incidents during the winter session of the Assembly.

Inspecting the security system on Monday, Odisha police director general KB Singh said: “I reviewed the security arrangement of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. Some areas have been declared 144. We have put in place a three-layer security arrangement for the security of the Assembly building. Security has been beefed up to ensure smooth running of Assembly session”.

Twin-city police commissioner RP Sharma was also seen checking the security arrangement for upcoming session of the Assembly.
