Odia boy tops ICSE class X exam

Bhubaneswar: An Odia boy studying in Mumbai-based public school emerged joint topper in ICSE class 10 examinations securing 99.2 per cent marks.

Tezan Sahoo of Saint Mary’s School in Navi Mumbai area is among the three students who have topped the test. For the concluded academic season, the pass percentage of the students appearing for Class-X examinations under ICSE format was 98.49 per cent while 96.28 per cent students of Class-XII cleared the test.

As many as 72,000 students appeared the Class-X exams while 1.6 lakh students appeared for it across the nation. In Odisha, 10,000 candidates wrote the exams for in both the classes conducted by ICSE.
