Most wanted woman Maoist, Budhuni Munda nabbed by police

Rourkela: In a major breakthrough, Rourkela police arrested a most wanted woman Maoist leader from Lathikata area on the outskirts of the city on Thursday.

She has been identified as Sobha alias Budhuni Munda.

According to police, Sobha, who had a non-bailable warrant against her name, was a member of the CPI-Maoist Central Committee. She was managing the women wing of the Maoist outfit. She was arrested by the Jharkhand police in 2006 and was later lodged in the Bokaro jail.

After she was released on bail, she was on the way to Lathiakata.

Acting on the tip-off about her arrival at Lathikata, the city police rushed to the area and nabbed the woman Maoist.
