Modi talks to Odisha chief secy on progress of pending Central projects

Bhubaneswar: Prime minister Narendra Modi today held meeting with chief secretary Gopal Chandra Pati through video-conferencing under Pro-Active Governance And Timely Implementation (Pragati) programme, an initiative launched to take the stock of the implementation of various Centrally funded projects.

According to reports, Modi discussed the Haladia-Paradip pipeline project, among others. State development commissioner Upendra Behera was also present during the video-conferencing at the second floor of secretariat here.

As per the Pragati plan, such meetings will be held on the fourth Wednesday of every month. The move will help the prime minister keep track of the progress, or the lack of it, in hundreds of projects, especially in infrastructural one, worth trillions of rupees.
