Koraput man gets 2nd ‘Shambhavi Puraskar’
Bhubaneswar: Suresh Kumar Panda of Koraput district received the second Shambhavi Puraskar which carries a citation, a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 2.5 lakh here today.
Panda has been working relentlessly for the economic development of tribal communities in Semiliguda of Koraput district through various activities.
The first Shambhavi Puraskar was presented to Krushna Sabar from Gunupur for popularising the Saura script.
The award has been instituted by Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF), the social arm of IMFA. The purpose behind instituting the award was to recognise the emerging innovations by the people of Odisha and thereby encourage others to contribute.
Banshidhar Ila Panda Foundation CEO Shaifalika Panda, director SEWA Padmashree Reema Nanavati, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of School and Mass Education Department Usha Padhee and Culture Department secretary Arabinda Padhee were present on the occasion.
