MP Baijayant Panda urges MEA to secure safe return of Odia man from Libya

New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar: Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda today wrote to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) seeking intervention in securing safe return of Odia man Pravash Ranjan Samal who was captured by ISIS and was later conditionally released by ISIS in Libya.

In a letter addressed to External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, Panda informed that reportedly Samal’s release is conditional and that he is required to work at the hospital where he is employed as a technician.

Citing that Samal has expressed his desire to return to India out of concern for safety and his family members’ appeal to all stakeholders for his safe return home, Panda requested Swaraj to kindly initiate steps to facilitate his safe return to India.
