Justice Mohanty to officiate as CJ of Orissa HC
New Delhi: Justice Pradip Kumar Mohanty will officiate as the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court.
Justice Mohanty is the senior-most judge of the Orissa High Court. His appointment has come in the wake of then Chief Justice of the High Court, Justice Amitava Roy, being elevated as a Supreme Court judge last week.
Meanwhile, Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, a judge of the Rajasthan High Court, has been transferred to the Karnataka High Court. He has been asked to assume his new charge on or before March 12, a Law Ministry statement said here on Tuesday.
