It’s 40 plus in eight places, Titlagarh sizzles at 43.5

Bhubaneswar: Eight places of the State today recorded temperature above 40 degrees Celsius while Titlagarh sizzled at 43.5 degrees C, the day’s highest temperature.

The State witnessed this surge in temperature after few days of respite from the scorching heat wave due fluctuating temperature and rain in few places.

According to reports, Sambalpur and Hirakud recorded temperature of 43-degree Celsius each.

Besides, mercury in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack touched at 40.4 and 37.5 degrees Celsius respectively.

Meanwhile, a Met release here stated that the temperature across the State would like see a surge in the next few days though some places might receive rain or thunder shower.
