Barabati T20: SA team begin nets practice
Bhubaneswar/ Cuttack: With the second T-20 match between India and South Africa of the ongoing Paytm Freedom Series to be played at Barabati stadium in Cuttack is just a day to go, the players of the South Africa left for the stadium for nets session in the afternoon on Sunday.
South Africa team left for the stadium in the afternoon today and have had nets session.
Similarly, team India will reach the stadium in the evening and will have a practice session at 4 pm to 7 pm under the flood lights.
Meanwhile, the commissionerate police is leaving no stones unturned to ensure full-proof security to the teams.
According to a top police official, 60 platoons of armed police have been placed in the city for the match, four squads of quick response teams (QRT) and two anti-terrorist squads are also deployed to ensure full-proof security.
Apart from this 150 CCTV cameras have been installed inside and outside the stadium to keep a close watch on the spectators and the crowd during the match. He added.
Notably, on Saturday evening the Indian and South African cricket teams along with the officials and support staffs arrived at Biju Patnaik International airport from Dharamsala in a special flight. After reaching airport, they were taken to Hotel Mayfair Lagoon where they were accorded traditional welcome by the hotel staff.
Braving torrential rain, thousands of cricket lovers in the capital city gathered near Hotel Mayfair to have a glimpse of the players of the Team India and South Africa.
