CB starts probe into Astarang muder
Astarang: An eight-member team of State Crime Branch including SP Ramesh Behera, additional SP RK Sual and State Forensic Lab’s DNA division assistant director Arun Kumar Swain arrived in Dinadiyan village in Puri district yesterday and started its probe into quadruple murder.
The investigating team reached the police stations in Kakatpur and Astarang and collected data regarding the case.
Notably, on Wednesday, chief minister Naveen Patnaik ordered the Crime Branch to investigate into the ghastly murder of four members of a family.
Retired district inspector (DI) of schools, Dinabandhu Mallick, his wife and two minor daughters were found dead with throat slit in the house on Tuesday night.
