BIPF opens skill development training centre

Rayagada: A skill development training centre was inaugurated here at Amlabhat in cooperation with Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF) of IMFA on Sunday.

Managed by the Centre’s Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), the training centre was inaugurated by Rayagada Collector Jagannath Mohanty in presence of Executive vice-president of BIPF Trijib Chnadra Hota, PDDRDA Prasant Rath and local representatives.

As many as 90 students have admitted to the centre in first phase. The institute will offer training in three trades.

Collector Jagannath Mohanty said- “Education should not be confined to only qualification. The skill of the students should be developed for which the centre would be a great boost for them”.

Similarly, the foundation vowed to look after the placement of the students. “We will also arrange placements for the students who successfully completed the course”, Executive vice-president of the foundation Trijib Chnadra Hota said.
