5 aides of arrested Bangladeshi youth held
Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Thursday held five persons, including four Bangladeshi nationals, from Baujang and Katikata areas of Jajpur district in connection with the arrest of a suspected Bangaladeshi youth from the regional passport office here yesterday.
As per the latest reports, the five persons have been brought to Bhubaneswar for questioning by commissionerate police.
The Bangaldeshi youth, identified as Md Bashir, was arrested on Wednesday for applying for passport with forged documents.
As Bashir’s application got rejected, the youth created disturbance at the passport office. Following this, the suspected Bangladeshi national was detained by the Nayapalli police.
Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said, “We are trying to find out from where the suspected youth got the documents and for how many days he has been staying here. The questioning is on.”
