OTET paper leak: Board of Secondary Education lodges police complaint

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: After the cancellation of the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) following leakage of questions papers, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) today filed a formal complaint in this regard at Mangalabag Police Station in Cuttack.

The complaint was lodged by the president of Board of Secondary Education, Jahanara Begum, informed sources.

Earlier today, Crime Branch officials had said that they can only proceed with the investigations after a proper complaint is lodged by the BSE.

“The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) is yet to file a legal complaint in this regard. We have only received a letter from the Board. Only after a complaint is lodged, we will initiate a probe and necessary action will be taken,” Crime Branch ADG, Santosh Kumar Upadhyay had said.

After the question papers of the exam were leaked on social media on January 16, the Board had written to the Crime Branch seeking a probe into the question paper leak.
