OSSC website glitches stall CGL applications, aspirants cry foul

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) website is reportedly facing technical issues, leaving thousands of candidates across the State unable to submit their applications for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) posts.

Aspirants have alleged that although money is being deducted from their bank accounts during the application process, the applications are not getting submitted.

Similar problems have also been reported on the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) website.

Despite the registration deadline being set for January 18, candidates claim they have been unable to apply to date due to persistent technical glitches. This has triggered widespread dissatisfaction among the aspirants.

The affected candidates have urged the government to intervene immediately and ensure a prompt resolution of the issue so that they are not deprived of the opportunity to apply.

"The website is not opening and is experiencing buffering issues. We request the government to resolve the problem at the earliest," said an aspirant.

"The website is taking four to five days to complete the application submission process. In many cases, OTPs are not being delivered to applicants’ mobile phones. Applicants who submitted their applications over seven days ago are also facing issues, as their payment status is not being reflected on the portal despite the amount being deducted from their accounts. In contrast, the UPSC website allows applications to be submitted smoothly within four to five minutes, whereas the OSSC website is taking four to five days for the same process. Despite sending multiple emails to the OSSC office regarding these issues, no attention has been paid to our requests so far," said another aspirant.
