Aspirants applying for Group B and Group C posts under the OdishaSub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission’s (OSSC) Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination (CGLRE-2025) have appealed to CM Mohan Majhi and Chief Secretary Anu Garg to extend the application deadlines, citing persistent technical problems with the online portal.

In a representation submitted on Tuesday, candidates stated that they were facing repeated difficulties during registration and form submission due to technical glitches. These reportedly included delays in the application portal opening properly, login failures, errors during document uploads and interruptions while submitting completed forms.

Fee Deduction Complaints Surface

Several aspirants alleged that despite Rs 500 being deducted from their bank accounts, their applications were not successfully submitted due to technical failures. Candidates said the issue had caused financial hardship as well as mental distress, especially for those attempting multiple submissions close to the deadline.

They urged the state government and OSSC authorities to immediately address the technical issues and grant a reasonable extension to ensure that genuine applicants are not excluded from the recruitment process due to system-related problems.

Application Schedule And Eligibility

As per the official notification, online registration for the CGL examination began on December 19, 2025, and is scheduled to close on January 18, 2026. The last date for submission of completed application forms is January 21, while editing of online applications will remain open until January 24. Applications are being accepted exclusively through the OSSC website.

Vacancy Details & Educational Qualification

The recruitment drive aims to fill 1,576 vacancies, including 504 posts reserved for women. 

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and possess basic computer proficiency. 

Age Limit & Selection Process

The age limit is 21 to 42 years as on January 1, 2025, with relaxations applicable for reserved categories, women, persons with disabilities and ex-servicemen.

The selection process includes a main written examination comprising language and general studies papers, with a mathematics test for auditor posts and a computer skill test for select services.
