The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) has kept three officials out of duty and ordered withholding of their salaries with immediate effect following a departmental inquiry into allegations levelled against them.

According to an office order issued by the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of OSRTC, the decision was taken based on the recommendations of a preliminary inquiry report submitted by an enquiry committee after a hearing held at the OSRTC Corporate Office in Bhubaneswar on December 24, 2025.

The officials placed out of duty are Eswar Mohapatra, District Manager, OSRTC, Koraput; Jyoti Prakash Behera, Assistant Manager (Depot), OSRTC, Jeypore; and Preetish Kumar Nayak, Assistant Manager (Depot), OSRTC, Sundargarh.

The order states that the three officials will remain out of duty until further orders and will not be paid any remuneration during this period.

In view of the administrative vacuum created by the decision, OSRTC has made interim arrangements. Aroshree Sahoo, District Manager, OSRTC, Malkangiri, has been re-sponsored to Koraput and entrusted with the additional responsibility of District Manager, Koraput, as well as Assistant Manager (Depot), OSRTC, Jeypore.

Similarly, Gurudutta Dora, District Manager, Malkangiri, has been directed to function as the Depot In-Charge of the OSRTC Malkangiri unit in addition to his existing duties. Debasish Nayak, Assistant Manager, OSRTC, Sundargarh, has been ordered to work as District Manager, Sundargarh, along with his current role as Assistant Manager (Depot).

The office order clarified that the arrangements will remain in force until further instructions are issued by the OSRTC management.
