OSA convention starts from July 4
Bhubaneswar: The 44th convention of Orissa Society of Americas (OSA), scheduled to be held at Chicago in USA from July 4 to July 6, would witness the presence of a number of well-known personalities from Odisha.
Jnanpith Award winner Padma Shri Pratibha Ray and veteran artist Dinanath Pathy would grace the convention as chief speaker and chief guest respectively, said a statement issued by OSA.
In the convestion, social activist and tribal leader Padma Shri Tulasi Munda would be honoured as outstanding Odia for her lifetime contribution for the upliftment of socially downtrodden people.
Similarly, National Innovation Council Chairman Sam Pitroda would inaugurate Odisha Development Symposium on July 4.
A delegation of eminent realtors, hoteliers and businessmen is also going to present their views during this seminar.
While Sniti Mishra of Sare Re Ga Ma Pa fame and noted Bollywood singer Krishna Beura would entertain the crowd with their melodious voice, actor Kuna Tripathy will also be present at the ceremony.
The theme of the convention will be “Bidesha Matira Odia Santana Uchha Rakha Tume Odisha Ra Maana”.
Around 1,500 Odias are expected to join the celebrations at Westin hotel.
