Bhubaneswar: Orissa Olympic Association (OAA) on Wednesday announced cash prize for the winners from the state at the 34th National Games scheduled to begin from Saturday in Jharkhand.

"The players and coaches representing OOA will be given cash prize for winning medals in the Games," said association general secretary Asirbad Behera.

While players winning the Gold medal would be given Rs 50,000, the amount for winners of silver medal was Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 for bronze medals, Behera said.

The Orissa contingent of 181 Members (145 players and 36 officials including manager and Coaches) and 4 contingent officials will be participating in the ensuing 34th National Games at Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur from 12th to 26th Feb 2011 under the banner of Orissa Olympic Association.

Total 17 Teams qualified for the National Games comprise; Aquatics(Swimming), Athletics, Boxing, Cycling, Football (Women), Gymnastic, Hockey (Men), Hockey (Women), Karate-Do, Kayaking & Canoing, Rowing, Rugby 7s (Men), Sepak Takraw (Women), Shooting, Triathlon, Weightlifting, Wrestling.
