‘One-night stand for promotion’: Odisha Doctor’s shocking offer lands him in jail

A male doctor was arrested on Tuesday by the Airfield Police for allegedly misbehaving with a woman AYUSH doctor after expressing romantic interest and offering her a lift. The accused has been identified as Dr. Kshama Sethi.

According to police sources, the incident occurred in the Airfield area on Tuesday. The accused allegedly proposed to the woman doctor and later behaved inappropriately with her while she was riding with him on his scooter.

Reports further suggest that the accused made indecent remarks and even promised the woman a promotion and prime posting in exchange for a ‘one-night stand’. The woman doctor subsequently filed a complaint at the Airfield Police Station.

Acting on the complaint, the police arrested Dr. Sethi and initiated an investigation. Authorities have stated that further inquiries are underway to determine if similar complaints have been made against the accused in the past.

The incident has sparked outrage among medical professionals and women’s rights groups, who have demanded strict action against the accused and called for safer workplaces for women doctors.
