Berhampur: A fast food shop vendor, Suresh Swain was today gunned down by unidentified miscreants at Dhobabandha. Suresh was brought to the MKCG medical by the local police but the doctors pronounced him dead. The family members have however denied that Suresh was having animosity with anybody in the town.
Of late, the town has witnessed several glaring crime incidents. In the last 13 months alone, six murder cases, 12 bombing incidents, four firing incidents and 16 loot cases have taken place raising question marks about the law and order situation in the city. While one firing incident took place in the Bhanja Vihar campus on November 10, one businessman seriously injured in another firing incident.
