According to Misra, the establishment was founded by his grandfather and later handed over to his father. He alleged that his two paternal cousins, Sabyasachi Misra and Soumitri Misra, are attempting to illegally take control of the business.

Allegations Of Trespass And Threats

Misra alleged that on the evening of the 6th February, the accused forcibly entered his residence and verbally abused his 84-year-old father, Nrusingha Prasad Misra. He further claimed that threats to kill were issued during the incident and that objectionable behaviour was directed towards women members of the family.

Actor Raises Concerns Over Family’s Safety

Speaking to the media, Misra said, “I have informed the police that both my cousins have threatened to kill me, my father and my family. This dispute is related to the bookstore established by my grandfather and later handed over to my father. I have no role in its ownership. Despite this, they forcibly entered our house on multiple occasions, shouted at us and used abusive language against my wife, following which I lodged a police complaint. However, there has been no response through legal channels.”

He added, “I tried to resolve the matter through dialogue, but nothing worked. I met the DCP because I am being pressured to withdraw the case. I am not in a position to face them, and I fear for the safety of my children.”

No Response From Accused

No response could be obtained from Sabyasachi Misra and Soumitri Misra regarding the allegations at the time of reporting.
