Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is likely to conduct the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) on May 12, 2019. Special OJEE will be conducted on July 21.

OJEE Chairman, Sudip Kumar Chand informed that the decision on the tentative dates was taken at the Policy Planning Board meeting today.

The examination will be conducted for Lateral entry to B. Tech, B. Pharmacy, lateral entry to Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, lateral entry to MCA, M. Tech, M. Plan and Integrated MBA courses.

Students can apply online for the entrance test through the OJEE website, www.ojee.nic.in from the last week of January whereas the deadline for applying is March 25.

While the last date of printing the confirmation letter is March 30, candidates can download their admit cards from April 20.

As per the tentative schedule issued by the OJEE for 2019, the entrance examination will be conducted twice, 1st OJEE in the month of May (second Sunday) and 2nd or special OJEE in the month of July (preferably on third Sunday).

According to reports, Engineering (B.Tech) admissions will be based on JEE Main/special JEE 2019 examination whereas MBBS, BDS and BHMS/BAMS admission will be done considering the merit list of NEET (UG) 2019.

There are plans for web-based entrance tests for all PG courses like MBA, MCA, Lateral entry to MCA, M. Tech, M. Plan and M. Arch, added sources.
