Bhubaneswar: The second phase registration for admission into MBBS and BDS courses to fill the vacant seats in various medical colleges across the State will be held today. The admissions will be held between August 13 and 18.

The students can register online for admission to the courses from 10 am to 11.59 pm today, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) notification said.

The list of vacant seats including the All India Quota seats returned in different medical colleges will be published on August 9. The verification of documents for newly registered candidates and for those who could not attend earlier document verification will be conducted at the nodal centre on the same day till 5 pm, the notification added.

While the revised merit list for the second phase admission will be published on August 10, the choice filling and choice locking by the students can be done on August 10 and August 11, the notification read.

The provisional admission will be held between August 13 and 18 at OJEE Cell, Gandamunda in Bhubaneswar. In case any seats remain vacant after second phase admission, spot counselling will be conducted between August 21 and 22.

It may be noted that the first phase admission was held between July 5 and 9 and the classes for the session 2018-19 have already started from August 1.

There are a total of 1,300 seats for MBBS and BDS courses in various medical colleges in Odisha. 167 seats belong to All India Quota while 1,133 seats are reserved for the students of the State.
