Bhubaneswar: In a bid to promote tourism in the state in a big way, the Odisha Tourism participated in International Tourism Festival (International Tourismus Borse) in Berlin in Germany.

This time the stall has been a spectacular, depicting the innovative and new products of Odisha Tourism like the Buddhist Heritage and Adventure Nature Tourism, along with the Traditional and Tribal Cultural Heritage.

Gracing as the guest in India Tourism Exhibition and opening of Odisha Pavilion, state Tourism and Culture minister Ashok Chandra Panda hoped that there would be more foreign tourists inflow to the state as restriction on foreign tourists visit to tribal areas has been relaxed by the state government.

He also highlighted on Golden Triangle, Diamond Triangle, Konark Sun Temple, Dhauli equipped with sound and light system, Chilika lake etc and wished more footfalls owing to tourist friendly policy of the state government along with available facilities. He called upon the tour operators and travel agents to work in this direction.

The pavilion was visited by the Indian Ambassador to Germany, Gurjeet Singh and Vinod Zutshi, Union Tourism secretary who appreciated Odisha Tourism's activities to increase number of foreign tourist footfalls in the state.

GK Dhal, Principal Secretary, State Tourism, and Director, Tourism, Nitin Bhanudas Jawale were also present.

The Odisha officials revealed that the State Tourism will participate in more international fairs and national level programmes to promote Odisha's Tourism products.
