Bhubaneswar: While the weather has remained almost dry over most of the districts in Odisha, the regional meteorological centre here has issued yellow warning wherein several districts are likely to receive rainfall or thundershowers in the next 2-3 days.

As per the latest forecast, light to moderate rainfall or thundershower is very likely to occur today and tomorrow at one or two places over the districts of Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj whereas the weather conditions would remain dry over rest of the districts.

Issuing a yellow warning even for Wednesday, the Met officials said that thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Nuapada, Bargarh, Sambalpur.

Similarly, there are predictions of rainfall at few places over the interior Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha on Thursday. A yellow warning has also been issued for Kalahandi, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.

On January 10, the Met has forecast rainfall over Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj districts.

As per IMD observations, only four stations recorded temperature of 10 degrees or below on Wednesday. Daringbadi was the coldest place with 9 degree Celsius, followed by Titlagarh (9.6), Sonepur (9.8) and Angul (10 deg C). The temperature in twin cities has however dipped as Bhubaneswar recorded 13.4 and Cuttack shivered at 12 degrees.
