Bhubaneswar: Several parts of northern, southern and coastal Odisha are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall for next two days, informed India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

“Thunderstorm and light to moderate rainfall are likely to occur in some places of northern Odisha and one or two places of southern Odisha on Tuesday. Similarly, Yellow Warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara districts where thunderstorm and rainfall are likely to occur on January 29,” said IMD Bhubaneswar meteorologist Ramesh Gartia.

“Dry weather will prevail in the State on January 30 and 31. While people will experience cold, some places may witness dense fog. The temperature will rise from January 31,” he added.

According to weather department, four places in the State recorded temperature below 10 degree Celsius today. Sonepur recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degree Celsius followed by Phulbani (8.3), Angul (8.6) and Titlagarh (9.6). The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded a minimum temperature of 13.3 degree and 12.5 degree Celsius respectively.
