Bhubaneswar: Under the Odisha government’s flagship programme to provide quality education in English through CBSE curriculum to students, 36 new Adarsha Vidyalayas (Model Schools) will be set up by March 2020.

Informing about the development after a meeting held today, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said, “The Adarsha Vidyalayas will be set up in 36 blocks of Odisha.”

According to Dash, a State-level Adarsha Vidyalaya will be set up in Bhubaneswar which will have all state-of-the-art facilities for the students. Besides, the infrastructure can be used by students of several Odia medium schools and several competitions and other events can be organized on its premises.

At present there are 214 Adarsha Vidyalayas in Odisha and 36 more will come up by March 2020.
