Odisha to provide pension to additional 5 lakh beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to add additional 5 lakh beneficiaries to the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana from December 15 onwards. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in the Secretariat today.

According to sources, the Chief Minister also announced Rs 1,200 monthly assistance to 40,000 artists under the Mukhya Mantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana. The amount will be provided to the artists from December 15 onwards.

The Chief Minister also directed the district collectors to organize special camps between 15th and 20th of every month for the distribution of assistance to the beneficiaries of Madhu Babu Pension Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana, sources said.

“The government will provide pension to 5 lakh new beneficiaries under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana from December 15 onwards. I am happy to redeem my pledge of dispensing social justice to all,” CM Naveen Patnaik said.
