Bhubaneswar: Buoyed by the interest shown by overseas investors, the Odisha government has decided to conduct a festival in November this year to promote start-ups in the State.

This was informed by Industries minister Debi Prasad Mishra, who recently attended the Make-In-India event in Mumbai. A high level delegation led by the minister also participated in the Global Conference in US.

“We are planning to organise the conclave in November. Entrepreneurs, educational institutions, venture capitalists, corporate houses and technology providers would attend the event,” Mishra said.

The minister informed that talks with global investors who attended the events were successful.

“They have evinced interest to invest in Odisha. Our visits to Stanford University, Facebook and Google headquarters in the US were also very fruitful,” he stated adding the State government is working on formulating a start-up policy to promote and facilitate entrepreneurs.
