The Board of Secondary Education (BSE)-Odisha announced on Tuesday that the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2025 will be conducted on December 17. According to a notification issued by the BSE, the examination will be held in two sittings on the same day.

Online application process for the OTET will begin tomorrow (November 12), and interested candidates can apply through the official BSE Odisha website. The last date to submit applications is November 25.
“It is for the information of all concerned that applications are invited from eligible candidates (fresh/ in-service) for appearing in Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2025,” the notification issued in this regard by the BSE mentioned.
OTET is a mandatory qualifying test for aspiring teachers seeking appointments in the State government, aided, and private elementary schools across Odisha.
Candidates are advised to read the detailed guidelines and eligibility criteria provided in the official notification before applying.
Details of the OTET guidelines:
1. Applications will be received through ONLINE mode only on the official link (website) www.bseodisha.ac.in .
2. ONLINE link will be available (24x7) from 12.11.2025 till midnight of 25.11.2025.
3. Payment of the Fee and submission of Forms should be done through online mode, latest by 11.45 PM on November 26, 2025.
4. The step-by-step instructions for online registration, Guidelines containing applicability, eligibility and qualifying criteria of the candidates, Syllabus and its structure, and format for continuing certificate are available on the website www.bseodisha.ac.in .
5. The Examination will be conducted on 17.12.2025 in the timing given below – Paper-I from 9.00 AM to 11.30 AM and Paper-II from 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM.
6. Admit cards shall be made available from 10.12.2025.
7. Under no circumstances shall the last date for submission of application forms be extended.
8. In case the information furnished by a candidate is found to be false/ fake, the candidature/ result of the candidate shall be cancelled, and he/ she shall be liable for prosecution as per the rule.
9. Information once submitted by the candidate relating to personal data, address, caste, subject etc during online registration cannot be changed at any later stage.
