Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday signed an agreement with global technology and consultancy company Accenture Service Pvt Ltd to promote and develop long-term cooperation and collaboration in state policy framework and other activities.
 
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would cover mutual research and solutions in the field of innovation and technology, solution engagement, outsourcing and skill promotion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said.
 
As part of the MoU, Accenture will develop and commission five mobile governance applications in specific areas to be identified by the government without any financial commitment, he said.
 
Besides, the company will also develop a road map for skill development in the state in order to prepare the state for investment in various industries including IT and IT-enabled services.
 
"The state government will extend all necessary cooperation to Accenture for this initiative in order to explore the possibilities for establishment of State Technology Resource Centre," IT secretary M S Padhi said.
