Odisha seeks more grants for tribal welfare

New Delhi: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday met Union Minister for Tribal Affairs and Panchayati Raj KC Deo to place demand for more grants for tribal development in the state.

The chief minister said the Union minister has promised to consider the state’s demand for 100 new tribal hostels of capacity of 100 beds and upgradation in the tribal list.

The Union minister has also given assurance to open 20 new ashram school for tribals, Patnaik added.
