Odisha Police SI recruitment sabotage: Crime Branch raids fake online test centre in Bhubaneswar

In a significant development, the Crime Branch on Sunday conducted a raid at a fake online test centre located at Raghunathpur in Bhubaneswar in connection with the ongoing Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination scam.

According to reports, the raid was carried out after officials received information that deals related to the recruitment process were being made at the centre.

However, the ownership of the examination centre has not yet been confirmed. Investigation in this regard is currently underway. Crime Branch DSP informed that Shankar Prusty, who is under scanner in connection with the scam, was coming here frequently for fixing the examinations.

As per reports, the Crime Branch team waited till the house owner came with the key of the house following which the centre was opened and the raid was carried out.

As per sources, Shankar Prusty was also running multiple online test centres in Balasore, Puri, Gajapati, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Bhawanipatna.

As per the latest report, the arrangements inside the online test centre have been disrupted before the raid.
