Sambalpur: Team Uttar Pradesh were on 54 runs for the loss of one wicket at the draw of stumps on the second day`s play against hosts Odisha in the Elite Division Group-A match being played at the Vir Surendra Sai stadium here. Alok Mangaraj was the lone wicket taker for Odisha.

Earlier, Odisha made 482 runs in the first innings starting off from their overnight score of 295 for the loss of three wickets. While Biplab Samantray made scintillating 171 runs, Abhilash Mallik unfortunately missed his maiden century in Ranji division by just one run. Team India discard Piyush Chawla was the highest wicket taker for Uttar Pradesh who had a haul of five wickets in Odisha`s first essay. Odisha after one loss and another drawn match hopes to draw the match against compratively stronger Uttar Pradesh.
