Odisha Medical Services Association stages protest in Kandhamal

Phulbani: The members of Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) staged a demonstration today in front of the District Headquarter Hospital demanding fulfilment of their 8-point charter of demands.

The OMSA state president Nirakar Bhatta participated in the protests and said that the protests will continue till the 16th of this month and will be intensified further if the demands of the association are not fulfilled.

“We are protesting against the doctors who are above 62 years and are still in service. We are also demanding the regularisation of 500 contractual doctors who are working for the government,” Bhatta said.
