Odisha gears up for Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan’s visit on January 23

The Odisha government has intensified preparations for the visit of Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan, scheduled for January 23, to ensure that all official engagements are conducted smoothly and without any disruption.

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has intensified preparations for the visit of Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan, scheduled for January 23, to ensure that all official engagements are conducted smoothly and without any disruption.

A high-level preparatory meeting was held at Lok Seva Bhavan under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anu Garg. Senior officials from various departments attended the meeting, during which detailed discussions were held on security arrangements, logistics, protocol and coordination related to the Vice-President’s visit.

Arrival and Official Engagements

According to the official itinerary, the Vice-President will arrive at Bhubaneswar airport at 8:50 am on January 23. From the airport, he will proceed to Cuttack to take part in programmes marking the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, observed across the country as Parakram Diwas.

During his visit to Cuttack, the Vice-President is scheduled to visit the Netaji Museum, a prominent site dedicated to the life and legacy of the iconic freedom fighter. On the same occasion, he will also inaugurate the District Culture Bhavan, underscoring the state government’s emphasis on promoting and preserving cultural heritage.

Departure Schedule

After completing his official engagements in Cuttack, the Vice-President will proceed to the Chief Secretary’s Lok Bhavan, where he is scheduled to attend a luncheon. He will later return to Bhubaneswar airport and depart for Kolkata at 2:15 pm.

The state administration has assured that comprehensive arrangements are being put in place to ensure the Vice-President’s visit is conducted in an orderly and seamless manner.
