Odisha festival begins in Tripura

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will inaugurate the festival, said the spokesperson of its organizer 'Odia Samaj in Tripura' here on Sunday.

"The Government of Odisha has already deputed a contingent of 15 exponents of classical Odissi and rhythmic Sambalpuri dance," he said.

Exhibition and sale of Odisha handlooms and handicrafts would be organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Handloom and Handicrafts, Directorate of Textiles and Handlooms, Government of Tripura for the entire tenure of the festival, he said.
