The 70th State Police Duty Meet was inaugurated on Thursday at the Reserve Police Ground in Buxi Bazar, Cuttack, Odisha. Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest and formally declared the event open.
The four-day meet will feature participation from nine ranges of the Odisha Police. Teams from various districts across the state will take part in different competitions during the event, which serves as a platform to assess professional skills and operational efficiency.
Selection for National-Level Competition
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, DGP Khurania said, “The 70th State Police Duty Meet has been inaugurated with participation from teams across different districts. The competition will continue for the next three days, covering various categories. Top performers from this event will be selected to form the state team for the All-India Police Duty Meet. In the past, Odisha Police teams have performed commendably at the national level, and we hope that the best performers this year will continue that tradition.”

The meet aims to enhance coordination, discipline, and professional standards within the force. The State Police Duty Meet is a regular feature in the annual calendar of Odisha Police, providing officers with an opportunity to display their skills and readiness for national-level contests.
