Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Saturday reported 96 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total SARS-nCoV positive case count to 1819 in the last 24 hours, informed State Health and Family Welfare Department.

As per the Health department, all the 96 new COVID-19 cases are in quarantine. With this, the total active cases in the State now stand at 833

Of the 96 COVID-19 cases, Kendrapara and Gajapati reported the highest 10 COVID-19 positive cases each while Khurda reported nine cases. Six cases each detected in Ganjam, Jajpur, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur, and seven cases each from Bhadrak, Bolangir and Sundergarh districts.

Similarly, five Coronavirus cases were detected in Kalahandi, four each from Balasore, Nuapada and Deogarh, two from Dhenkanal and one each from Puri, Nayagarh and Keonjhar districts.

A total of 3,920 RT-PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in Odisha taking the State’s cumulative tests to 147490.

However, the State Health department is yet to update the new COVID-19 cases detected in Nuapada (12), Sundergarh (13) and Bargarh (6) districts.
