Bhubaneswar: With mystery still shrouding the death of 12-year-old Ayushman, son of Bhubaneswar special squad ACP Sanjiv Satpathy, the top cop has termed his son’s death an ‘accident’ and appealed media and others to stop making absurd presumptions over the tragic incident.

“My son was a brilliant student and was good tennis player. He was in the habit of playing pranks on all family members. On Saturday, my wife asked him not to play with his pet dog as it was already 12:30 AM. This upset him and to show his mother his anger so that he would not abuse his pet, he wrapped a jean pant on his neck and accidentally he fell inside the clutches which could not be noticed by my wife immediately,” said Ayushman’s father in a note circulated on social media.

The note further read, “Neither it was due to the impact of video game nor anything else as circulated by some media. Please don’t make unnecessary comments and absurd presumption of my son’s death. Again let me tell you my son has died in an accident.”

Meanwhile, a handwritten note of Ayushman has surfaced in which he had mentioned that his mother is the most beautiful lady in this world while his father is the real Singham and the most handsome person. The note came to light after it was shared by Ayushman’s family among their well wishers.

It is pertinent to mention here that Ayushman had died in the official quarters of his father in Bhubaneswar late on January 5th night. He was studying in Class-VII at a private English medium school in the city.
