Odisha Congress to decide on action against Srikant Jena tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: While there is excitement in Congress after stupendous performance in Assembly Elections in three states, the disciplinary committee of the State unit will meet tomorrow to decide on action against senior party leader Srikant Jena.

According to party sources, the disciplinary committee, in its meeting tomorrow at the party headquarters, will decide the next course of action against Srikant Jena. Jena being a senior member, a final decision will be taken by the AICC.

Meanwhile, the OPCC disciplinary committee convener, Ananta Sethi said that the committee will take a decision on Srikant Jena and will inform about the same to the AICC.

“Senior Congress leader Jitendra Singh has suggested disciplinary action against him (Srikant Jena). There are enough rules in the party to discipline members who come up with statements against the party or hurt party’s image in the public,” Sethi said.
